Students entering the Direct Care track have previously graduated with an MSN degree from an accredited graduate nursing program focused in an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) role. These APRN roles include clinical nurse specialist (CNS), certified nurse practitioner (NP), certified nurse midwife (CNM), and certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). While maintaining their certifications, students in the Direct Care track develop their ability to serve as expert clinicians, assume leadership roles in shaping clinical practice, and translate research into practice.
