In order to meet a critical need in the Milwaukee area, Alverno non-social work majors have the option to minor in substance abuse counseling. Through courses focused on rehabilitation, psychopharmacology and mental health & substance abuse, as well as field education, students will learn how to support individuals, families, groups and the broader society.
