Teach for America Special Ed, K-12th Grade (MA Degree, SPEDT)

Teach for America Milwaukee and Alverno College have partnered in preparing on-the-job teachers for licensure for several years. All TFA MKE Corps Members (CMs) are enrolled in programs leading to licensure at Alverno College. TFA MKE and Alverno share a common mission and vision for strongly preparing TFA CMs to serve the needs of scholars, families, schools, and communities. The Division of Education at Alverno College prepares professionals committed to developing the abilities of all learners, building community as a context and support for learning, providing high-quality education in highest-need settings, and continuing their own ongoing growth through thoughtful reflection. This program leads to cross-categorical special education licensure in grades K-12.
