Leadership Programs

BA Leadership Major Information:

The BA in Leadership in the Alverno Accelerate program is a fully online program open to both women and men. The program allows up to 90 transfer credits and provides flexible pathways for students to complete a bachelor’s degree.  Accelerate is unlike traditional online programs — it is a “learn by doing” program that pushes students to learn within the context of life, and to apply what is learned to experiences in community and work.

Alverno Accelerate has three distinct levels helping students broaden and deepen their skills for leadership in a developmental way. The Beginning Level focuses on the student as learner and includes courses from various disciplines that explore issues alive in society today. The Intermediate Level focuses on the student as professional, developing skills and ideas needed to successfully collaborate with others. The Advanced Level focuses on the student as leader and invites students to pitch and implement a leadership initiative demonstrating interests and skills.

AA Leadership Major Information:

The Associate of Arts in Leadership is a 60-credit program in the Alverno Accelerate program. Students complete the Beginning Level of the Accelerate Program and 20 credits at the Intermediate Level. This degree can be a stand-alone credential or a step toward the bachelor's degree in Leadership or the Education to Birth to 3rd or Education to 9th Grade Paraprofessional Programs.  All courses for this degree are offered in an online asynchronous modality.
